6-JUL-08 build 200A1 release notes:

A. Discovered an issue with some radios types using STOP while SCANNING where the program would
crash. Tracked it down to new coded added and corrected.

B. Discoverd an issue with some radio types when using the Manually Controlled Radio Assets panel which
would cause the program to crash when used to change Fo/Mode. Tracked it down to new coded added and
corrected. It would appear that this correction also solved issues for some users of certain radio types for
basic operation, yet for some others the same radio types worked just fine. 

C. Refined the code for R&S XK2100 support based on actual testing and user feedback.

A. Installing MARS-ALE for the first time:

Please refer to the MARS-ALE Quick Start Guide for complete details.

MARS-ALE may be installed to any Windows directory on your computer. The process for installation
of a MARS-ALE is rather simple:

1. Unzip the distribution archive file, MARSALExxxBx.ZIP which contains two files, a read_me.txt and
INSTALL.EXE into a temporary directory.

2. Run the INSTALL.EXE and accept the license agreement, then follow all the on screen prompts.

NOTE: If the full INSTALL.EXE used is not the most recent, then before running the ALE.EXE file, acquire
updated version and run any provided UPDATE INSTALL.EXE ( if any ) or just unzip the contents of an
update archive into the sub directory where MARS-ALE was installed on your computer.

3. To the directory where ALE .EXE now exists, add your license.dat file to enable transmitting.

4. Add the latest distribution Udxxxxxx.QRG file to the QRG subdirectory and edit the SELCAL
from reading MYADDRESS to your become your proper SELCAL according to current requirements
and then save the file.

The software is now installed and awaiting configuration as detailed in the MARS-ALE Quick Start Guide,
for details on radio parameters see RHUG Appendix A.

B. Notes on new aspects of this release of MARS-ALE:

1. Added support for SDR1000.

2. Added support MICOM and R&S XK2100 transceivers their where internal
ALE modem/controllers of the radios are not used.

3. Updated all documention contained with this release.
